Why this conference?

Which are the existing SDR meetings for amateurs, enthusiasts, industrial and academic researchers?

GRCon (GNU Radio Conference) is in the USA, a long trip from Europe for a fantastic event.

FOSDEM has rejected the 2023 SDR devroom and will not have any related session: FOSDEM SDR devroom was most probably the main free opensource software event dedicated to SDR in Europe with a strong focus on GNU Radio (although claiming to being open to all other frameworks. e.g. OpenWiFi).

SDRA in Germany is dedicated to ham radio with no preaching of the opensource aspect of SDR despite their welcome and strong support in the last years and fantastic interaction with the organizing committee warmly thanked for their help.

We hence wanted to continue the European GNU Radio Days meeting to help GNU Radio enthusiasts, mainly from Europe but not only, to share their experience and results using the free opensource framework GNU Radio and associated hardware.
